The Student programme has been a resounding success with more than 300 students registering from 33 countries representing 105 worldwide universities. On behalf of dmg world media I would like to thank you all for the interest that you have shown for this programme and for the enthusiasm demonstrated for this specific sector of the energy industry.
The key sponsors for this Programme have now made their selection of students from all those that have registered for the programme.
There was a great response with the launch of the Gastech Student Programme Essay Competition, and I would thank all those that submitted essays.
Unfortunately there can be only two winners and those have now been selected.
The Student programme will continue at Gastech 2011, 21-24th March 2011, Amsterdam RAI, The Netherlands. The programme will continue to make a difference by bringing students from around the world to this specialist industry.
GasTV will be live at Gastech 2009 reporting on all aspects of the conference and exhibition streaming video programmes through its internet site www.gastv.tv One of GasTV’s responsibilities will be to focus on the Student Programme highlighting the shortage of new talent being recruited into the gas industry. It will also promote www.gastechstudentprogramme.com as "the" location to find high calibre, international graduates that are actively seeking employment within the energy industry.

2009 Student Programme
The next Fuelling the Future programme will run alongside Gastech 2009 in Abu Dhabi, 25th-28th May 2009. This will see Gasteh return to Abu Dhabi to the new Abu Dhabi National Exhibtion Centre. This new 50,000 sqm conference & exhibition centre is due to be completed in October 2008 providing an excellent and modern setting for the event.
